Every Sunday during worship she just lipped; I meant she worshipped from the bottom of her mouth. She ascended the steps to the throne room of grace with just her lips....
She left her heart on the first step and because bringing it with her would mean surrendering, so she decided to withhold it from him.
Swayed by the emotions from the instruments. Her lips were in sync with the beat as she ignored the beatings that he went through, all for her it was lip service.
Rehearsed words from her lipstick made it look like her heart was overflowing and like a broken record on repeat she kept saying "I give you all the glory" but her heart told a different story....
All he ever wanted was true worship. So many times we give God songs and call it worship, but what rings in his ears are lip services... Singing lyrics that we don't truly mean. "worship was lit because the drummer killed the beat." We say within ourselves.
True worship comes from the depths of the heart and pumps glory and praise to the most High God. It doesn't stop after the last amen is said but should begin when you wake up from bed.
You may think that repeating words makes God smile, but true worship is a lifestyle.
A true worshipper worships in Spirit and in truth; its more than just a song: it's your heart too.
She claimed to love Him, but not only with her lips. She proved her love for him with worship that seeped from her heart.
