Nothing is the same

"nothing is the same", that's what I'll like say, but we both know I'ld be lying.

I want you to leave, walk away and don't look back, not even a glance lest I find my self running to you.

You knew what you were doing, you've always known, taking me on this path when you know it's a dead end.

You knew what you were doing, you still do, for even now, you tell me I can touch you through the glass wall.

You can't control it, that's what you said,

I believed you, i still do, you control me.

You never told me about him, not till I saw the ring.

I always knew about him, he was never real, not till I saw the ring.

The fire you started still burns, I could call the rain but I won't, I love seeing your wind blow.

It makes me wonder, who really is in control

What I do know for certain is, I do not want to know for certain, for it doesn't matter. 

We are sinners, you and I, we sinned against love, 

We're sinners, you and I, we sinned for love.

I've seen this happen, I know how it ends,

I've stood on my moral high ground and laugh at their tears.

No one will laugh at mine though, I control when it pours,

so leave when I can hold my tears,

walk away and don't look back, I know I never will,

because to me, everything is the same.
