Judging by the wide spread and effects of the corona virus, one would conclude that the government has been more than negligent towards their roles to the state
Due to the rapid spreading virus,the governments has ordered general lockdown all over the state.They also blocked borders and refused passage for thirteen countries.A great step but the aftermath wasn't planned for.
Owing to the lockdown, worship centres,schools,business and even some markets has been closed and some indefinitely.
Food is a main source of worry, to say the other: money. Complains have gone viral but little actions have been taken by the government and this has left the problem unabated.
People with other ailments and issues requiring medical attention are barred even from buying drugs. People aren't allowed out,even to the market to buy food.
The government therefore ordered the distribution of food in different parts of the state but it was not successful. Many complained of it not going round and those who have received complain about that which was distributed.
We must not also forget that when this government were applauded by the WHO but that was the end.
In isolation centres today, bed spaces are a problem and the number of people confirmed with virus daily is alarming.
Aside, people complain that the government is doing nothing about it.They argue that since the government can access the BVNs of citizens,they should not hesitate to send money.
It can be argued that Nigeria is not developed but the government should be committed to the purpose of their position and do what they can to avoid this situation take its tool on us.
