GIANT OF AFRICA

 We are called Nigerians,
The abode of blackminds.
Our country is full of hooligans,
That cares less about lives.
They say Nigeria breeds maggots,
That is capable of causing chaos.

We are the most ranked,
When it comes to corruption. 
Leaders who are to curb,
Thrust deep into the action.
We have resources,
Instead of using, we show greed towards it.

'Giant of africa' they call us
But deep down, we are Africa's worst patriot.
Sometime I ask my self,
Where are we headed?
Even after gaining independence,
We still can't bring out the best.

Sometimes I wonder,
Do we really have politicians or politrickcians?
They trick us into voting them,
With promises that won't be met,
Then later on,
They turn their backs on us.

Can we ever be the giant of Africa?
Can we ever live up to the expectations we've had so far?
Can we ever compete against others?
A giant being stepped upon
Instead of raising others to the shore.
